Posting on the Blog

Sorry for the confusion about posting. You can post your comments 2 ways.
1. if you just want to respond you may do so by clicking on the comment link at the end of each posting.
2. if you want to post an original comment you can send your email address to cranston@peoplepc.com and I can give you permission to publish an original post.

These emails must go through me so that I can keep "anyone" on the web from posting, however anyone is still welcome to comment on any posting without authorization.

Hope this makes sense and helps!

What to do?

With so many thoughts going through my head about what I need to do to serve effectively at NCC it can become quite confusing. I feel like we should be meeting about everything, evangelizing everybody and teaching the rest! But then I take a moment, take a deep breath and remember that all of this is really not up to me. God is still in charge of all of our actions and I need to keep reminding myself that the best thing I can do is to pray. As a matter of fact why don't we all pray? Prayer is great, its free, its abundant and anyone can do it! So as we journey together let us not forget the power we have in prayer, a power that is greater than anything man can produce or provide and is our direct connection to our God.

Hey, invite somebody to church! Not if they are already attending another church but someone who has no church home or is not a Christian at all. We have business cards available for you to hand out with our info and a map to make it even easier to extend an invitation. Can you imagine what would happen around here if everyone invited at least one person to church? Boy I sure would like to find out!

What a week!

Hey everyone! well, that is everyone who actually can find this blog! For those of you that are not Internet challenged welcome back.

I am starting to get settled in the office and Phoebe and I have begun several new projects that involve both guests and members. Keep your eyes open for some of the changes and let us know what you think.

If you missed this past Sunday evening combined worship you missed 2 great messages from Ryan and Paul. Ryan spoke out of Revelation and shared with us the idea of the Magnificence of God and Paul shared expressions of God's love and how we should share our love with one another despite our differences or personal judgments. Thank you both for the inspiring words and hope to hear from both of them again soon.

All for now, come back soon and let me hear from you!!

Wow, I hope all of you were as convicted by Danny's message yesterday as I was. What a wonderful spirit he has and he has the "passion" for evangelism. I hope what he shared with us was taken to heart by all of us and we accept his challenge for this congregation.
Sam, thanks for your comments about the web site. I agree we need to be state of the art and as visible as possible. If you look at how you and I are communicating with this blog it only emphasizes the power of the Internet. Would you like to get involved in web site planning and design or perhaps you know somebody outside of the church who is gifted in this area? It would be a great way to introduce them to the church. Currently we have a volunteer who is working I think all by himself and probably would love input and assistance, I will ask him.

Childrens musical

Phoebe has posted that they have kicked off their kids Christmas program, wouldn't it be great if we could have 20 or 30 kids involved. Maybe this is a great way for your children or your friends and neighbors children to be introduced to our church. If your kids aren't involved please consider the impact this kind of involvement has on not only them but it allows them to witness to other children and family members, just something to think about

The church, this week

Hi everyone,

This blogging thing is probably really new to many of you but I thought it might be a good way to share ideas, prayer request, general information and our lives!

I am absolutely thrilled to be here at Northside Christian Church. You have made my family feel welcome and a part of the ministry here already. We are just getting started so please be patient as we feel each other out and make plans for the future of God's church here in Fortson.

One of the things I really would like to do is get to know each of you personally. Don't be surprised if I ask your family to join mine for lunch after church on Sunday or for desert Sunday night or Wednesday night. We cannot get to know each other if we don't spend time together.

On this page you can share messages, thoughts, prayers, ideas, concerns, hopes, dreams, etc. This is our space to talk and share our lives and I hope that many of you take advantage of this great technology.

That's all for now but come back often for updates and conversation.

In Him,
Cranston
