I am sitting here in my study at home reading and praying and of course watching a little baseball! Wondering if anybody else is out there thinking about NCC? The potential at this church is so great that I seek discernment about what God has planned for us as a congregation and where we are heading as a body of Christ. I would love to hear from those of you that take time to read this Blog and let me know what God is telling you about this great church.
Just wondering if there is anybody out there?

I am out here (not that I'm all that important necessarily). I know exactly what you mean about the potential at NCC if only we have people who are willing to step up. Like all other churches (yes, I am making the sweeping inclusion of all churches since I have been to a fair few over my years as an army brat), we have the faithful few who seem to do everything and others who appear to do nothing much at all. My next suggestion involves the "Widows Might" group. I'm sure that these excellent women would be able to affect a positive change in this community in addition to having their lunches. We should ask them. There are so many people in nursing homes that have no one to visit them or show them Christ's love. Would these ladies be interested in adopting a nursing home for Christmas? I know that in some cases it's just a matter being asked. I'm not insensitive to the fact that most people have to work, however, my suggestion involving the widows is limited to those ladies in the "Widows Might" and they are all retired. Have a great day.
