What to do?

With so many thoughts going through my head about what I need to do to serve effectively at NCC it can become quite confusing. I feel like we should be meeting about everything, evangelizing everybody and teaching the rest! But then I take a moment, take a deep breath and remember that all of this is really not up to me. God is still in charge of all of our actions and I need to keep reminding myself that the best thing I can do is to pray. As a matter of fact why don't we all pray? Prayer is great, its free, its abundant and anyone can do it! So as we journey together let us not forget the power we have in prayer, a power that is greater than anything man can produce or provide and is our direct connection to our God.

Hey, invite somebody to church! Not if they are already attending another church but someone who has no church home or is not a Christian at all. We have business cards available for you to hand out with our info and a map to make it even easier to extend an invitation. Can you imagine what would happen around here if everyone invited at least one person to church? Boy I sure would like to find out!

I agree that we must invite people; however, in the past that meant that NCC wanted families with children. Yes, children and families are important; but are they more important than anyone else? We should be inviting anyone and everyone and that includes snatching people from other churches.

By the way, I really enjoyed the sermon Sunday. Thank you for injecting levity, it breaks up the monotony.

Wow, I like your enthusiasm! When it comes to inviting people to church I am of the opinion (and remember this is just my opinion) that if someone is already saved then let them be saved wherever they feel comfortable worshipping. We are looking for those that are not saved according to the biblical purpose of the church and that does not limit us to families, race, age, gender etc..

Thanks for the kind words, and the paint job!
